This  iTach Wi-Fi to Infrared Adapter (WF2IR) provides Wi-Fi 802.11b/g connectivity to infrared (IR) devices in a box that fits in the palm of your hand. It includes both a blaster and emitters to control all of your components and wirelessly control infrared devices over a network and the Internet.

This Wi-Fi model should be used whenever a direct Ethernet port is not available. The WF2IR includes 3 IR emitter ports. The third emitter port can be used with the included IR blaster to control many devices by placing the blaster in front of the set of devices to be controlled. Also includes 3 single-emitter cables for attachment directly to the infrared receiver window of devices to be controlled.

Roomie Remote is $9.99 (USD) on the App Store in the Lifestyle category. Roomie starts with support for basic theaters with 1 room and 2 devices. Upgrades to unlimited devices and unlimited rooms are available via the Home Theater Pack In App Purchase for $19.99. Upgrades to support infrared adapters are available via the Infrared Control Pack In App Purchase for $5.99.

As the IPad, IPhone, IPod devices only has WIFI, and no IR infrared capability, an IR blaster such as the Global Cache WF2IR will be required to run this app.

Roomie Remote at $9.99 only control IP devices.  You will need to purchase $5.99 for the Infrared Control Pack, and $19.99 for the Home theatre pack – altogether $36.00 for the bundle.  Global Cache WF2IR costs another $100.00, which adds up to $136.00.
